Freida was born in Mumbai to Sylvia Pinto and Frederick Pinto. She belongs to Manglorean Catholic community, Bombay. Her elder sister Sharon Pinto is an associate producer at NDTV.
Freida, the most promising Indian-born Hollywood actress is a graduate in English Literature from St.Xavier's College, Mumbai.
She entered into the world of modeling in 2005 via Elite Model Management in India and bagged huge TV and print commercials like Wrigley's Chewing Gum, Skoda Auto, VISA, eBay, De Beers, Chanel and several others.
In two years of her modeling career, Freida graced the covers of leading magazines like Femina & Femina Girl, FNL and several others.
